CALIFORNIA SHOOTOUTS

This year, LAUPS has again scheduled three charter boat dive trips to local waters. There will be a photo competition (shootout) following each trip where members may enter still images and/or video footage taken on that trip at a subsequent club meeting. Contest winners will be given points, and the points will be cumulative to determine overall standing for the year, with awards given out at our annual banquet in January.

Shootout Rules.

The one-day trip dates are May 31st, July 20th, and September 20th.

We will be using the Sundiver moored at Alamitos Bay Landing in Long Beach Marina (Sundiver Directions Page here. Google Map here). These will be limited-load trips with a maximum of 16 divers per trip. The plan is to hit an oil rig for the first dive, followed by two dives at Catalina.

The cost per trip is $125 including food and air. You can bring your own tanks, but the boat has steel 85's for your use. Sorry, the boat doesn’t carry Nitrox.

A number of people have already signed up, so don’t drag your feet if you want to go. You’re on the list only after I receive your check made out to LAUPS. Do it now!
