CALIFORNIA SHOOTOUTS

This year, LAUPS has again scheduled three charter boat dive trips to local waters. There will be a photo competition (shootout) following each trip where members may enter still images and/or video footage taken on that trip at a subsequent club meeting. Contest winners will be given points, and the points will be cumulative to determine overall standing for the year, with awards given out at our annual banquet in January.

Shootout Rules.

Trip Dates:

  • Shootout #1: Saturday, March 20th: Peace (out of Ventura); 4 dives on Anacapa and/or the east end of Santa Cruz; 22 divers.
  • Shootout #2: Saturday, July 31: Magician (out of San Pedro); 4 dives at Catalina; 22 divers
  • Shootout #3: [NOTE: RESCHEDULED from Sep 5] Saturday, September 25th: Sea Bass
